Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that when the time comes, PrimeMinister Shahbaz Sharif will appoint Army Chief as per merit, nothingcan stop the Prime Minister from doing so.
Talking to Geo News program Shahzeb Khanzada today, Khawaja Asif saidthat the next appointment of Army Chief is to be made in November andthere are seven months in the appointment.
He said that when the time comes, the Prime Minister will use thepowers given in the constitution, nothing can stop the Prime Ministerfrom doing so.
