Irked over the accusations levelled against him by the former federal lawminister Barrister Farogh Naseem that his ‘partial behavior’ was to blamefor delay in the restoration of his licence, Justicelink Qazi Faez Isalink of the Supreme Court (SC)on Tuesday stepped down as the Lawyers Enrolment Committee chairman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice link Isa conveyed his decision tothe Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) in writing.
It is pertinent to mention here that Barrister Naseem had held the SC judgeresponsible for delay in the restoration of his license, accusing him ofbeing ‘biased’.
In his letter to the PBC, Justice link Isasaid that contrary to the allegation levelled by the former law minister,nobody in the enrolment committee had ever brought to his notice hisapplication for the restoration of his license.
The SC judge said hence Barrister Naseem’s allegation was baseless andunfounded. “Truth of the matter is that barrister is not willing to admithis defeat in the presidential reference filed against me,” Justicelink Isa wrote.
“To cut a long story short, he is a man with a ‘defeated psyche’,” thejudge concluded.
