Pakistan on Sunday agreed with International Monetary Fund (IMF) to endfuel subsidies. The talks over the seventh review between Pakistan and theIMF have also been completed, as there were four rounds of negotiationsbetween Pakistan and the IMF.
Sources privy to the matter said that Pakistan and IMF have agreed to starttechnical talks from Tuesday, adding that the data will come out after thetechnical level talks.
Sources said that the IMF mission will visit Pakistan after the technicaltalks.
Pakistan and IMF reached consensus on SBP’s autonomy and implementation ofeconomic reforms.
It is important to note that Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and Minister ofState Ayesha Ghous Pasha will hold a key press conference in Washingtontoday.
PM orders financial assistance to farmers affected by fire in Sialkot
Seperately, Prime Minister Shehbaz ordered the concerned authorities totake emergency measures to provide financial assistance to farmers affectedby fire in Sialkot.
PM Shehbaz ordered the Punjab government that farmers whose crops have beenburnt should be given immediate relief checks
The Prime Minister ordered immediate financial assistance to the farmersafter their wheat crops have been burnt up to 90,000 kilograms.
