Three more Pakistani soldiers martyred in another terrorist attack from Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: The media wing of armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR) on Saturday said three Pakistan Army soldiers embraced shahadat(martyrdom), while fighting against terrorists in North Waziristan district.

“Terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border, openedfire on Pakistani troops in general area Dewagar, North Waziristan,” theISPR said. The Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner, resultingin heavy casualties of terrorists, as per credible intelligence reports.

However, during exchange of fire, Havaldar Taimoor, 30, resident of Jhelum,Naik Shoaib, 38, resident of Attock, and Sepoy Saqib Nawaz, 24, resident ofSialkot, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists foractivities against Pakistan and expects that the Afghan government will notallow conduct of such activities in future,” the ISPR said.

It said Pakistan Army was determined to defend Pakistan’s borders againstthe menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of their brave men furtherstrengthened their resolve.

On April 22, the ISPR had reported that an army officer was martyred and asoldier seriously injured when terrorists opened fire on a securitycheckpoint in Balochistan.
