A significant reorganization of the bureaucratic landscape in Sindh haslong been anticipated, with the caretaker provincial government now takingconcrete steps in this direction. The caretaker administration hasdiligently compiled a roster of officers, and these details have beendispatched to the election commission for the necessary transfers andappointments within Sindh, according to inside sources.

This development follows a directive from the Chief Election Commissioner, who, in a letter sent to Sindh’s Caretaker Chief Minister, retired JusticeMaqbool Baqar, urged the swift submission of proposals to the electioncommission regarding the transfer of officers within a one-week timeframe.
CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja emphasized in his correspondence that the electioncommission had issued specific instructions to provincial governmentsregarding the transfer of administrative officers. These directivesencompassed the relocation of commissioners, deputy commissioners, andadditional commissioners within the province.
Furthermore, the election commission had also called for the transfer ofRegional Police Officers (RPOs), District Police Officers (DPOs), andvarious other law enforcement personnel operating within the region. Thisorchestrated transfer of officers is intended to ensure impartiality andefficiency in overseeing the forthcoming election, a goal that the CEC hasearnestly emphasized in his communications with the Caretaker Chief Minister
