Former Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, expresseddeep disappointment at the inconclusive result of the Pakistan-India matchin the Asia Cup.
In a statement, Najam Sethi mentioned that the biggest cricket match beingaffected by rain is disheartening, and in Sri Lanka, there is always a fearof rain during these days.
Najam Sethi stated that as PCB Chairman, he had advised the ICC to playmatches in UAE, but various excuses were made to give events to Sri Lanka,claiming that UAE would be too hot.
He remarked that the weather in UAE during the Asia Cup was similar to theconditions during the IPL or the previous Asia Cup. He emphasized thatprioritizing politics over sports is an unforgivable act.
