During the Group A match of the Asia Cup against India in Kandy lastSaturday, Pakistan’s fast bowlers, including Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah,and Haris Rauf, achieved a remarkable feat. In this historic match, thePakistani trio etched their names in the record books as the first set ofpacers to capture all 10 wickets in an Asia Cup One-Day International (ODI)encounter.

It all began with Shaheen Afridi, the tall left-arm pacer, who initiatedthe procession in the early innings. His blistering pace and pinpointaccuracy proved too challenging for the Indian batsmen to handle, withAfridi taking four crucial wickets, including those of Rohit Sharma, ViratKohli, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja.

As early wickets fell, Haris Rauf, renowned for his aggressive spells,assumed control and dismissed key players such as Shubman Gill, ShreyasIyer, and Ishan Kishan. Not to be outdone, Naseem Shah also joined theparty with his lightning-fast deliveries. His sheer pace left the batsmenbewildered, as he claimed three wickets, including Shardul Thakur, KuldeepYadav, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Unfortunately, the match ended without a result due to heavy rain.Pakistan received 3 points, while India received 1 point, and Pakistanadvanced to the super four stage.
