The announcement, made by the Prime Minister’s Office, has brought to a halt Kakar’s planned three-day visit to Nairobi, Kenya, where he was slated to participate in the Africa Climate Summit 2023.
This visit was initially scheduled for the upcoming week, from September 4to September 6. It’s worth noting that this visit would have marked theinterim Prime Minister’s first official trip since taking office.
The decision to call off the trip underscores the gravity of the economicchallenges faced by the country, which have necessitated the PrimeMinister’s presence at home to address pressing issues. Kenya’s financialdifficulties seem to have taken precedence over international diplomaticcommitments, emphasizing the government’s focus on stabilizing the nation’seconomic well-being.
Despite the cancellation of this inaugural official visit, Prime MinisterKakar remains dedicated to steering the country through these challengingtimes and revitalizing its economic prospects
