LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered Pakistan PresidentTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Pervaiz Elahi to be presented in court at 10 amtomorrow.
According to details, LHC Judge Amjid Rafique heard an appeal against theNAB’s arrest of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi. The court hasasked the relevant authorities to arrange security for Pervaiz Elahi’strial tomorrow. Earlier, the audit court ordered the detention of formerChief Minister Chaudhry, the former Chief Minister of Punjab in the Gujratcorruption case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requested pre-trial detention ofPervaiz Elahi in the corruption case heard by Judge Shehzad Kyani. TheNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) has re-arrested former Punjab ChiefMinister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi after he was released from Adiala prison.After the end of his detention under the DFO, the President of PTI wasreleased from Adiala prison today. However, he was arrested by the NAB forfailing to provide information to the accountability office about excessassets in the case against him, his son Monis Elahi, and other familymembers.
NAB sources revealed that an investigation has also been opened againstMoonis Elahi over the over-holding. A team from NAB branch Lahore broughtthe former CM from Adiala Prison to Rawalpindi Hearings Court for remandduring transit.
