ISLAMABAD – A local court in Islamabad on Wednesday issued non-bailablearrest warrants for ousted premier and Imran Khan in the case regarding hiscontroversial remarks against a female judge.
Reports in local media claimed that non available arrest warrants were alsoissued against PTI chief who is facing nearly hundred cases since beingremoved from power in no vote confidence last year.
Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman announced the reserved verdict, and orderedthe officials to produce Imran Khan before the court on April 18.
On the other hand, the lawyer of PTI chief urged the court to restore hisbailable warrant citing attack threats to his client. He further maintainedthat Islamabad High Court has restored his bailable warrant in other cases.Judge later adjourned the hearing.
