The Lahore High Court (LHC) Wednesday rejected the decision of the ElectionCommission of Pakistan (ECP) to retain Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain as thepresident of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), ordering the ECP toredecide after a review within 10 days.
LHC judge Justice Asim Hafeez heard the petition of Chaudhry WajahatHussain.
“The destruction of Pakistan is due to the election commission’s bias. Thejob of the election commission is to make recommendations on the petitionaccording to the law. Why does the election commission look biased?”Justice Asim Hafeez said.
“You are a lawyer for the election commission. Do not give the impressionthat you are a lawyer for any political party,” the judge asked the ECP’slawyer.
