The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is in disarray due to increasingcasualties at the hands of the security forces.
The informed sources have said that the TTP is getting divided intofactions. The Mohmand, Swat and Bajaur factions are angry with the centralleadership, and they are consulting to secede from the TTP.
One of the reasons behind the differences is the unfair distribution ofresources. Apart from this, the central leadership gives priority to Mehsudand Wazir tribes in administrative matters.
The central leadership does not consult other groups on important matters.Using Afghan fighters for terrorism in Pakistan is also a cause ofdifferences within the TTP.
In order to end these differences, Sheikh Gul Muhammad, the main leader ofTTP Bajaur, and Dr Hamud of Swat held a jirga with Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud.
The Jirga failed due to Mufti Noor Wali’s refusal to accept the demands.
