Resumption of PIA’s flight operations to Europe have become brighter as aBritish Aviation Authority team has reached Pakistan on its nine-day tour.
The team is led by head of State Safety Captain Malcolm Rusby. The UKsafety team will complete its audit work by February 16. The British teamhas started auditing of the Lights Department. The team will conduct acomplete audit of the Civil Aviation Authority. It includes CAA’s flightstandards, Safety Management System, Air Worthiness and other departments.
The British team after completing audit of Civil Aviation Authority, willalso conduct a comprehensive audit of the PIA.
After audit of the British team, European Union Aviation Safety Agency(EASA) will pay visit to Pakistan.
The EASA delegation will arrive in Pakistan on March 7. After complete andsuccessful audit of EASA, the resumption of PIA’s flight operations couldbe allowed.
For pilots’ examinations, the CAA has introduced British civil aviationsystem.
