Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit Turkey in solidarity with people of Turkey

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will go to Turkey on Wednesday to expresssympathy to the Turkish brethren people over the destruction caused by theearthquake.

According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visitearthquake-hit areas in Turkey. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardariwill also accompany the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will also meetthe Turkish President in Ankara, sources added.

Shehbaz Sharif already conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the victimssaying that Pakistan is deeply saddened over the loss of precious humanlives due to the earthquake. He said Pakistan stands with the brotherlycountry Turkey and its people during this difficult hour. He assuredPakistan’s full cooperation with the government and the people of Turkey indealing with this disaster.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is dispatching its first special plane carrying reliefgoods to Turkey Monday night.

The C-130 aircraft will carry the Army’s search and rescue team fromChakalaka Air Base and will directly reach the earthquake-affected areas ofTurkey.

A PIA special flight will also depart for Turkey with 50 people andcarrying 15 tons of goods on Tuesday morning. Rescue 1122 officials areincluded in the team.

Likewise, C-130 aircraft will depart for Istanbul from Lahore on February7, with 7 tons of relief goods. The relief goods will be included tents,blankets, and other essential items.
