Pakistan Maritime Security Agency arrests six Indian fishermen and seized boats

Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) personnel have foiled an attemptby Indian fishermen to carry out illegal fishing in Pakistani waters andarrested six fishermen.

Addressing a news conference in Karachi on Monday, PMSA Deputy DirectorAmir Iqbal revealed that that they have seized the Indian boat and sixfishermen who were illegally fishing in Pakistan’s eastern sea.

The PMSA Deputy Director also disclosed that in their other majoroperations they had disrupted numerous bids to smuggle drugs. As many as 39drugs smugglers have been arrested in major operations and narcotics worthRs13 billion were also seized, he added.

Six boats of smugglers were also compounded, the deputy directed said.
