Important development reported in PTI and PMLQ seat adjustment talks

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) onSaturday held the third round of talks for seat adjustment ahead of thegeneral elections.

The third round of negotiations between PTI and PML-Q leaders was held atPunjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi’s residence in Lahore.

The session was attended by Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi, Hussain Elahi,Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Ali Afzal Sahi,Raja Basharat Fawad Chaudhry, and others.

The leaders reviewed the list of constituencies in the latest round oftalks for finalizing seat adjustment for the next elections. The seatadjustment and list of constituencies were discussed in the meeting.

According to the sources, a total of 45 assembly issues were discussedbetween the two delegations. Both leaders discussed 25 provincial and 10national assembly seats. They discussed that candidates of both parties tocontest on the symbol of the bat.

The consensus among the leaders evolved that the alliance will remain evengoing forward and this step is inevitable to avoid constitutionalcomplications. The meeting also discussed that Ch Shujaat is in touch withPDM and may raise constitutional issues. An important decision will betaken soon to avoid such complications in the future, they agreed upon.
