A four-member delegation of Pakistani Ulema will visit Afghanistan forreconciliation and end the cross-border hostility in Chaman since the *attackby Afghan forceslink*thatkilled one civilian and injured 15 others, district administration saidSunday.
It was the second time in five days — that the Afghan border forces openedunprovoked and indiscriminate fire, using heavy weapons, at the civilianarea in Balochistan’s Chaman city.
Levies officials reported that multiple artillery rounds were fired uponthe civilian population around the Boghra Road and Custom House areas fromthe Afghan side, to which the Pakistani authorities responded befittingly.
The Chaman district administration said that the Ulema’s delegation willmeet the Afghan ministry of defence officials and others in Kandahar andKabul and hold discussions with key Taliban leaders
They said that the flag meeting of Pak-Afghan border security forces waspostponed upon the departure of Ulema delegation.
