Defense Minister Khawaja Asif Monday said that no negotiations andconciliations are being carried out with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)and Afghanistan has sought for forgiveness.
Khawaja Asif said that the people were fired upon by Afghanistan afterwhich our army targeted their check post.
The flow of traffic resumed after Afghanistan’s apology. Committees fromthe border security forces have been formed and no negotiations are beingcarried out with TTP.

Earlier while condemning the attack, Defense Minister Asif stated thatAfghanistan’s internal situations are very stressed and disturbed. Whereverthere is an act of terror by TTP in either Pakistan or Afghanistan, itseems to have some connection with the Afghan people. He said that anational security meeting should be held against the attack on Charged’affaires and it might be called in the next week.
