Under the banner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre,Saudi Arabia has started the process of distributing of ‘Winter ReliefPackage’ for flood victims in Pakistan.
Saudi Arabia Embassy in Pakistan said in its statement on Monday that thedeadly floods have affected 33 million people in the Islamic brothercountry.
The Saudi embassy said the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centreis engaged in providing emergency aid to the flood-hit areas of Pakistan tohelp the affected people cope with the disaster.
The embassy said Saudi Arabia’s winter package is being distributed in 14districts including Ganche, Skardu, Nagar, Astor, Ghazar, Chitral, Swat,Deerbala, Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, Dadu, Jamshoro, and Qamber Shahdadkot.
The winter package includes 50,000 quilts and 25,000 winter kits. Apartfrom this, the relief packages include warm shawls and clothes for men,women, and children.
The embassy also said that the winter relief package of the King SalmanCentre is being transparently distributed with the help of the NationalDisaster Management Development Authority (NDMA) and the provincialgovernments of Sindh, Gilgit-Biltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Pakistan also said that in total, more than1,75,000 people will benefit from this winter relief package of the KingSalman Centre.
