Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to appoint General Asim Munir asnew Army Chief and General Sahir Shamshad Mirza as Chairman Joint Chiefs ofStaff Committee.
A summary in this regard has been forwarded to President Arif Alvi forapproval.
Taking to the twitter, Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzebannounced Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif using his constitutional authorityhas decided to appoint Lt-Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza as the Chairman of theJoint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Lt-Gen Syed Asim Munir as the Chief ofthe Army Staff using the constitutional authority.
