COAS General Bajwa pays farewell visit to Naval and Air Headquarters

As part of his farewell visits, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General QamarJaved Bajwa visited the Naval and Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Monday.

On arrival at Naval Headquarters, the COAS was presented Guard of Honour bya smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy.

The COAS met with Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and the principle staffofficers at the Naval Headquarters and admired the role of the Pak Navy insafeguarding the maritime frontiers of Pakistan.

On arrival at Air Headquarters, the COAS was presented with a Guard ofHonour by a contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) followed byinteraction with Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters.

Later COAS met Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the AirStaff, and appreciated the thorough professionalism of PAF defending theaerial frontiers of Pakistan.

General Bajwa also highlighted the critical role played by PAF during thewar against terrorism during the meeting.

The COAS also visited Headquarters Rawalpindi Corps and laid a floralwreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and addressed the officers and troops.

COAS General Bajwa applauded Rawalpindi Corps for befittingly defending thecountry’s borders including Siachen and Line of Control.

Earlier on arrival COAS was received by Lieutenant General Sahir ShamshadMirza, Commander Rawalpindi Corps.
