ISLAMABAD – Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazipresided over the Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy at NavalHeadquarters, Islamabad.
During the conference, matters related to geo strategic milieu, nationalsecurity, operational preparedness, training and welfare of troops werereviewed. Comprehensive briefing on important ongoing and futuredevelopmental projects of Pakistan Navy was also given to Chief of theNaval Staff.
The Naval Chief expressed confidence over combat readiness and significantcontributions of the Navy in maritime domain. He emphasized onstrengthening of maritime security and maintaining combat readiness so asto effectively respond to any aggression against Pakistan.
The Naval Chief lauded the initiatives undertaken towards capabilitydevelopment through acquisition of emerging technologies. He expressed fullconfidence over high state of operational preparedness of Pakistan Navy tomeet all challenges while safeguarding the maritime frontiers of Pakistan.He also appreciated the efforts put in by Field Commanders along with civiladministration and various philanthropist organizations in providingcontinuous assistance to flood affected population.
