Gold prices in Pakistan Tuesday saw a significant increase of Rs1100 pertola despite the US dollar losing value against Pakistan rupee.
Data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Associationshowed that the price of the 24-karat gold decreased by Rs1,100 per tolaand Rs944 per 10 grams to settle at Rs151,100 and Rs129,544, respectively.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-Karat gold reaches Rs118,748.
In the international market, the price of the yellow metal increased by $13per ounce settling at $1,653.
The precious commodity’s rates in Pakistan are around Rs1,500 below thecost compared to the rate in the Dubai market.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market also increase by Rs10 pertola to reach Rs1,590 per tola and Rs8.53 per 10 grams to reach Rs1,363.13.
