The CTD police on Tuesday foiled a terror bid during polio campaign in DeraIsmail Khan by killing a wanted terrorist and recovering arms during asuccessful operation in collaboration with the security forces.
Reportedly, two terrorists opened fire on a police team during poliocampaign in Girah Guldad area of Kalachi in DI Khan.
The Counter Terrorism Department police and security forces reached theplace and surrounded the area.
They traded fire with the miscreants. As a result, a ‘highly wantedterrorist’ Waheed s/o Rahim Bukhsh who belonged to the Baloch tribe gotkilled in the shooting while his accomplice Bin Yameen s/o Gul Nawaz whobelonged to Jai tribe managed to flee the scene.

The CTD police and security forces recovered a hand grenade, an SMG gun, 10magazines and 8 cartridges from the possession of the terrorists.
According to the CTD, the operation has been completed in the area.
