Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said senior patriotjournalist Arshad Sharif is a clear victim of target killing, 24News HD TVChannel reported on Tuesday.
Imran Khan addressed to Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) Convention in Peshawar onTuesday and said he sent Arshad Sharif abroad after having authenticinformation about his killing plan from the opponents.
The PTI chairman said Arshad Sharif got threats from unknown phone numberswhen he was living here in Pakistan and exposing corruption with facts andfigures and that was the reason I respect him more than other journalists.
He said those, who were giving Arshad Sharif threats for not to exposetheir corruptions and wrongdoings as a real patriotist Pakistani and ajournalist, were also calling him back to repeat the same episode of AzamSwati’s arrest and shameful torture.
Imran Khan said a man like the “Dirty Harry” has come to Islamabad who istargeting people with his surprise hobby of stripping and torturingdetainees during police custody.
