The Gurugram Police in India has booked at least a dozen people forallegedly vandalising a mosque and attacking the people there.
The alleged incident took place on Wednesday evening in the Bhora Kalanarea in Gurugram. According to the FIR, some miscreants from the areavandalised a local mosque, beat up the people and even threatened to killthem. The miscreants then locked the mosque gate and ran away, the FIRstates.
Subedar Nazar Mohammed, who filed the complaint at Bilaspur police station,said only four Muslim families live in Bhora Kalan. On Wednesday, when heand others were offering namaz in the mosque, some people barged inside andattacked them. Nazar Mohammed also claimed that the miscreants threatenedthem to leave the area.
A case has been registered under IPC Sections 295-A (deliberately outragingreligious beliefs), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminalintimidation), 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting by carrying weapons).
The police have identified three accused so far — Rajesh Chauhan, AnilBhadauria, and Sanjay Vyas. Further investigation is underway.
