Good News for Pakistanis seeking employment in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian Cabinet, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques KingSalman, convened in NEOM on Tuesday to assess the state’s preliminarybudget statement for the fiscal year 1445-1446 Hijri (2024), along with itsassociated projections and goals to advance the Kingdom’s comprehensivedevelopment efforts.

According to reports from the Saudi Gazette, the Cabinet also examinedstrategies for enhancing the quality of services offered to citizens andresidents, fostering economic growth, diversification, and maintainingfinancial stability.

Additionally, the Cabinet delved into labor market statistics for thesecond quarter of the current year, revealing a decline in the unemploymentrate among Saudis to 8.3%, down from 9.7% in the same period the previousyear, thanks to the initiatives and programs outlined in Vision 2030.

There have been created in avenues for employment in Saudi Arabia forlocals and overseas workers for which overseas workers will be unlisted inthe Kingdom.

Furthermore, the Cabinet addressed correspondence received from thepresidents of Benin and Chad concerning relations between the Kingdom andthese nations and discussed methods to strengthen these ties.

The Cabinet also reviewed recent discussions between senior Saudi officialsand their counterparts from various countries, exploring opportunities forcooperation through visits and partnerships.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session,Minister of Media Salman Bin Yousef Al-Dosari highlighted the Cabinet’sexamination of coordination council committees’ activities involving theKingdom and several other countries, with a focus on initiatives aimed atbolstering collaborative efforts across various domains to align with theaspirations and interests of their respective populations.
