Australian cricketer Steve Smith, in an ICC segment that also featuredseveral Pakistan players, humorously and warmly associated Pakistan’scaptain, Babar Azam, with the cover drive shot.
In this segment, the players were asked a simple yet meaningful question:”What do you think of when you hear ‘cover drive’?” The players interviewedincluded Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Steve Smith, Imam-ul-Haq, and Hasan Ali.
Interestingly, all of them immediately mentioned “Babar Azam,” recognizinghis exceptional skill in executing the cover drive, a shot that has becomesynonymous with the Pakistani skipper.
