Riyadh: The Saudi Passport and Immigration Department, a sub-department ofthe Ministry of Interior, is responsible for the residence, entry, exit,and final exit procedures of foreign residents in the country according tothe laws.
In this regard, the Saudi government has made an important announcementregarding the extension of residence permits and visas for foreignnationals who have come to the country for employment.
The Saudi Passport Department has stated that the extension of visas forforeign nationals who have left the country on exit and re-entry can bedone online within the visa’s validity period.
According to the Subaq website, the extension of exit and re-entry visasfor foreign nationals present abroad can be sponsored.
A question was raised on the Passport Department’s website by a user askingwhether the exit and re-entry of such foreign nationals who have left thecountry can be renewed.

In response, the department’s spokesperson explained that if a foreignnational is sponsored, their exit and re-entry visa can be renewed online.
For this, first, the fee must be paid through Sadad, and then the extensioncan be done on the Absher or Resident Portal.
