Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed willingness to build a newgrand mosque in the capital city of Moscow. According to Russian mediareports, President Putin has agreed to the proposal for the construction ofa new mosque in Moscow, presented by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Kadyrovhad suggested building a new mosque in Moscow due to the increasing Muslimpopulation in the city, and he met with Putin to discuss the idea.
President Putin has taken the initiative to construct a new mosque in thesouthern part of Moscow, in the Butovo area.
Kadyrov expressed his joy at Putin’s acceptance of the proposal, statingthat he is very pleased that the President has supported the constructionof a new mosque in the capital city.
