Politician Mashhad Hussain Syed has said that I see a policy similar to theErdogan model against the Chairman of PTI. He is not a democracy advocatefrom within. Speaking on the program of Aaj Awaaz, he said that if therecan be an extension of Qamar Bajwa’s tenure and an agreement with the IMF,then why not for Pakistan?
These politicians do not favor democracy from within; they have a desirefor kingship. They use democracy for power and have imperialist thoughts.The policy implemented against Erdogan in Turkey seems to be happening inPakistan. It was said in Turkey that Erdogan worked against nationalprinciples and was declared incompetent.
In Pakistan, I see a policy similar to the Erdogan model against theChairman of PTI. There have been many deals in the past in Pakistan, andour system cannot withstand global or regional pressures.
On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court rejected PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf’s Chairman’s request for bail in 9 cases. On Monday, theSupreme Court revived the bail applications for the Chairman of PTI. TheAnti-Terrorism Courts and 3 Sessions Courts had rejected 6 bailapplications.
