The opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, scheduled to beginat Ahmedabad’s famous Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium on October 5, will nottake place.
Cricket enthusiasts in Ahmedabad had been eagerly awaiting the inauguralevent, which was supposed to be held on October 4 at 6:30 PM in NarendraModi Stadium.
This grand ceremony was to feature the captains of all 10 teams, followingthe tradition of captains’ day, but Indian media reports suggest that thecaptain’s day will follow the schedule.
