Islamabad: The government has increased electricity grades and electricityrates for consumers.
Following the approval of the federal government, the National ElectricPower Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification regarding fueladjustment, granting approval for an increase of Rs. 3.28 in electricityrates per unit during the monthly adjustment.
This increase will impose an additional burden of Rs. 159 billion onelectricity consumers. This adjustment was made in the context of thefourth quarterly fuel adjustment for the fiscal year 2022/23.
