On Sunday, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted a request tothe Islamabad High Court (IHC) for a confidential hearing of the bailapplication for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader in a cipher case. Thepetition was filed by FIA Special Prosecutor Shah Khawar, and the highcourt scheduled the hearing for Monday. IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq willpreside over this matter.
Notably, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce its decision on PTIchief Imran Khan’s bail applications tomorrow (Monday).
Previously, the sessions court and anti-terrorism court had rejected theseapplications due to procedural issues.
In the petitions, filed on behalf of the Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief, it wasrequested that the nine pending bail applications be treated as such by therespective courts and that arrests in these nine cases be halted untilfinal decisions are reached.
