Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium witnessed a spectacular performance by Pakistanwicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed, who continued his exceptional form infirst-class (FC) cricket by scoring a double-century during theQuaid-e-Azam Trophy 2023-24. Leading the Karachi Whites, the 36-year-oldcricketer secured his second double-century in FC cricket, tallying his16th first-class century and his second century of the current Quaid-e-AzamTrophy season.

Remarkably, in the same innings, a record was established as five differentbatters, including Khurram Manzoor, Asad Shafique, Ammad Alam, Rameez Aziz,and Sarfaraz Ahmed, all achieved centuries.

This extraordinary achievement marked the first instance of five battersreaching the three-figure mark together in Pakistani domestic cricket andset a new record for the most individual hundreds scored in a single teaminnings in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Under the leadership of Sarfaraz Ahmed, Karachi Whites amassed a formidabletotal of 784/5, becoming the fifth-highest First-Class total in Pakistanand the highest since 1995. Despite this outstanding performance, the matchultimately concluded in a draw. In the first innings, Lahore Whites haddeclared at 509/9, with Ali Zaryab playing a significant role with hismonumental 222-run innings.
