Despite being dropped from the Pakistani cricket team, opener Shan Masoodhas made a strong comeback in English County Championship with hisperformance and is now returning to his homeland.

At the beginning of the year, he was the vice-captain of the PakistaniOne-Day team, but he was not only stripped of his vice-captaincy but alsoomitted from the team with the vice-captaincy for One Day matches. He wasalso not included in the World Cup squad of 15 players.

In his final match for Headingly Leeds, he scored 131 runs with the help of15 boundaries off 123 balls, leading his team to victory by six wickets.

Under Shan Masood’s captaincy, Yorkshire achieved three successes.

Due to prior commitments with the Pakistani team in Sri Lanka, Shan joinedthe team late, giving the opportunity to Saud Shakeel in his absence. ShanMasood scored 720 runs in seven County matches, including two centuries andthree half-centuries, with an average of 60 in batting.
