The deadline for filing tax returns for the current financial year has beenextended. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had previously set the lastdate for submitting income tax returns as September 30th.
According to sources, 1.9 million individuals have filed their tax returns.Now, the deadline for filing tax returns has been extended. The FBR hasissued a notification regarding the extension of the date for collectingincome tax returns.
According to the notification, the deadline for filing tax returns has beenextended until October 31st.
The FBR stated that the extension in the date for collecting tax returnswas made upon the request of commercial entities and the Tax BarAssociation.
