COAS Asim Munir s strong reaction to twin suicide bombing

Army Chief General Asim Munir has stated that the Khawarij have soughtrefuge with Pakistan’s enemies, condemning the attacks by the Khawarij onthe 12th of Rabi ul Awwal.

He emphasized that terrorism has no connection with religion or ideology;terrorists are enemies of Pakistan and its people. The operation againstterrorists will continue relentlessly until the curse of terrorism iseradicated. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR),General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, visited Quetta.

He attended a high-level meeting under the chairmanship of the Army Chief,where he was briefed on recent terrorist incidents in Mastung and Zhob. Inthe briefing, Federal Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief MinisterBalochistan Ali Mardan Dumbki, and important provincial ministers alsoparticipated.

Prayers were offered during the meeting for the martyrs in Mastung, Hangu,and Zhob. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir praised the sacrifices ofthe martyrs and paid them rich tributes.

On this occasion, he stated that the incidents on the 12th of Rabi ul Awwalmanifest the condemnable intentions of the Khawarij. They have obtainedexternal state support, and they have no connection with the religion orideology.

They are enemies of Pakistan and its people. The Chief of the Army Staffaffirmed that the enemies’ malicious designs will continue to face the fullforce of the state and security forces. The armed forces, intelligenceagencies, and law enforcement agencies will not rest until the curse ofterrorism is uprooted from the country. General Asim Munir further statedthat the Pakistani people have rejected the ideologies of terrorists andtheir foreign sponsors.

The Pakistani people are resolute in their pursuit of peace, economicdevelopment, and human progress, which is causing significant discomfort tothe hostile forces both within and outside Pakistan. Army Chief GeneralAsim Munir also visited CMH Quetta, where he met with the wounded and thefamilies of the victims of the Mastung incident.

The best possible medical treatment is being provided to the injured inQuetta. The Chief of Army Staff acknowledged the bravery of BalochistanPolice and law enforcement agencies and commended their efforts. GeneralAsim Munir assured the families of the martyrs and the wounded that theterrorists, their leaders, and facilitators will not be spared. He alsovisited Quetta and was warmly received by the Chief Minister of Balochistanand the Commander Southern Command.
