Australian cricketers have included Pakistan cricket team’s captain BabarAzam in the top order of world-class batsmen, stating that it will bechallenging to dismiss Babar Azam on the low-bounce wickets of India.
According to details, Australian players, Quinton de Kock, and others haveadded Babar Azam to the elite group of world-class batsmen. Australian fastbowler Josh Hazlewood mentioned that compared to other top-order players,Babar Azam is relatively young and will soon follow in the footsteps ofVirat Kohli. While Babar Azam trails Virat Kohli by a few runs, he isconsidered unparalleled.
Josh Hazlewood also remarked that Babar Azam’s weakness in Test cricket isoff-side bowling, but Babar Azam has improved in that aspect and batsalmost as well as Virat Kohli.
Travis Head noted that dismissing Babar Azam in white-ball cricket ischallenging as he rotates the strike well and scores runs. Babar Azam playsstraight and hits the ball directly. Marnus Labuschagne stated that whileSteve Smith and Virat Kohli play off-side deliveries, Babar Azam stands andplays straight. It will be difficult to get Babar Azam out on thelow-bounce wickets of India, especially in the World Cup.
Australian batter Usman Khawaja mentioned that when you bowl to Babar Azamon a good length, he punishes you with cover drives. Most bowlers try totake singles on good length deliveries, but Babar Azam plays thembeautifully. He handles spinners well and has a good grip on cover, extracover, and point positions.
