Due to a malfunction in the PIA aircraft, a 31-year-old passenger fromJeddah, eagerly awaiting his return home, tragically lost his life from aheart attack at a hotel. According to reports, on Thursday night, duringthe departure of PIA flight PK-760 from Jeddah to Lahore, a fire broke outin the AP unit, leading to the evacuation of 275 passengers to a hotel.
Among the passengers was Zahees Ahmed, a resident of Gujranwala, who wasstaying at the hotel. The deceased passenger’s body has been taken intocustody by Jeddah police for formal procedures and has been transferred toa local hospital’s morgue.
Further details indicate that after completing the necessary formalities,including the post-mortem examination of Zahees Ahmed, who passed away onFriday, his remains will be handed over to the Pakistani consulate inJeddah. It is expected that within two to three days, after the completionof the formalities in Jeddah, the young man’s body will be repatriated backto his homeland.
