Welcome news for Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan government

Islamabad: The government has decided to fully digitize the Hajj operation,aiming to provide pilgrims with mobile applications and a web portal forconvenience and awareness.

According to details, a special committee under the leadership of theMinister of Information Technology, Umar Saif, convened a meeting chairedby the Prime Minister, which was attended by the Minister of ReligiousAffairs, Aniq Ahmed.

During the meeting, it was decided to create a live mobile app tofacilitate pilgrims, and to improve and bring reforms to the Hajj ITsystem. It was emphasized that the mobile app would enable access to alldetails and tracking.

The Minister of Religious Affairs expressed the desire to fully digitizeand streamline the Hajj operation, including the transportation of pilgrimsin Saudi Arabia, the establishment of a computerized financial system, andthe enhancement of the Private Hajj Group Management Information System.

The decision to fully digitize the Hajj operation was made incollaboration with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
