Pakistan skipper Babar Azam while addressing a press conference said, “InIndia, we may not have played cricket, but we have knowledge of conditions.I joined the 2019 World Cup as a player, and now I’m going as the captain.It’s a matter of pride for me. We’ll enter the field with our bestpreparation, aiming to win the World Cup.”
Talking about Vice-Captain Shadab Khan’s performance, he said, “Shadab Khanis a great player, and I hope he performs well in the World Cup. When aplayer does well, everyone praises, but we only have confidence in poorperformance.”
Regarding central contracts for players, he mentioned, “Discussions areongoing with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding contracts, and goodresults will come. PCB always thinks positively for players, and this timewill be no different.”
