In Islamabad, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and JamiatUlema-e-Islam-Pakistan (JUI-P) announced their intention to form analliance with like-minded parties, focusing on the country’s better futureand the welfare of its people.
A PTI spokesperson revealed that discussions between both partiesaddressed the current political landscape, emphasizing the importance ofallowing elected representatives to govern Pakistan after elections andaddress the country’s pressing challenges.
The PTI delegation, led by former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser,engaged in talks with JUI-P, represented by Amir Maulana Muhammad KhanSherani, along with Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan and Maulana Abdul Khaliq.
Meanwhile, the PTI expressed concern over the prolonged delays in the legalproceedings involving PTI chairman Imran Khan, labeling it a “cruelstrategy” to obstruct justice and subject him to political retribution.
The party appealed to Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa to ensure that all casesagainst Imran Khan are heard objectively and expedited for resolution.
Furthermore, the PTI spokesperson welcomed the safe return of renownedjournalist Imran Riaz Khan, commending Khan’s family for their resilienceduring a challenging period. The party urged swift and secure returns forall other missing citizens.
