Imran Khan faces serious security threats

The Attock jail administration has opted not to present the leader of thePakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) inconnection with the Cipher case. According to the jail authorities, the actof transferring the PTI Chairman from the prison to the courtroom poses apotential security threat.

They have raised concerns about the safety of this process, prompting themto seek an exemption from the court for the former prime minister.

Moreover, officials from Attock jail have made a formal request to thecourt to spare the former prime minister from appearing in court onSeptember 25. This request is part of the ongoing legal proceedings relatedto the Cipher case, which has garnered significant attention.

The Islamabad High Court, on the other hand, has scheduled a hearing forthe bail application of the PTI Chairman in the Cipher case. Theregistrar’s office has issued a cause list, and the bail plea is set to beheard on the upcoming Monday, with IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq presidingover the proceedings.

Imran Khan, the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, had beenincarcerated on August 5 after being found guilty in the Toshakhana case.His legal battles continue as the Cipher case takes center stage in thelegal landscape.
