Mickey Arthur, the Director of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, expressedhis optimism on Saturday regarding the squad selected for the ICC World Cup2023. Sharing his thoughts about the team, Arthur posted on the socialnetworking platform X (formerly Twitter), expressing his confidence in thesquad chosen for cricket’s most significant tournament.
He conveyed his belief that the team would perform well. In his post,Arthur stated, “I have complete faith in these players to deliver forPakistan… eagerly anticipating a successful @cricketworldcup journeytogether.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had previously unveiled the squad for theWorld Cup 2023 on Friday. Chief Selector Inzamamul Haq made theannouncement of the 18-member squad during a press conference.
He mentioned that Babar Azam would lead the team, with Shadab Khan servingas the vice-captain. The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to take placein India from October 5, and Pakistan’s first match is set against theNetherlands on October 6.
