In Ahmedabad, where the GreenShirts’ match against India will take place on October 14th, hotels arecompletely booked, and some are offering rooms at premium rates.
According to Economic Times, the prices of flights to Ahmedabad fromvarious parts of India have increased by 104% to 415%. A travel operatorsaid, “Traveling to Ahmedabad during match days will be an expensiveaffair. We know about some hotels here that have charged as much as 80,000rupees per room, considering the high demand.”
However, the price increase is only for the Pakistan-India clash and notfor any other matches. Travel operators have requested airlines to increaseflight frequencies from October 13th to 16th while keeping the demand inmind.
