In this regard, sources from the board claim that Chairman PCB ManagementCommittee Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf wants to assess the performance of the AsiaCup 2023 first and address any shortcomings before selecting the squad. Inthis context, a review committee meeting was held at the PCB headquartersin Lahore yesterday, chaired by Zaka Ashraf himself.
Captain Babar Azam, in addition to the members of the PCB TechnicalCommittee, Director Cricket Mickey Arthur, Coach Bradburn, and NationalTeam’s Fast Bowling Coach Morne Morkel were part of the meeting via videolink. However, Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, who had previously selectedthe Asia Cup squad and is now responsible for selecting the World Cup team,was notably absent from the meeting.
