The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially declared thetimeline for the upcoming general elections, marking a significant momentin the nation’s democratic process. As per a recent announcement onThursday, the ECP confirmed that the general elections are slated to takeplace in the final week of January 2024. This pivotal decision comes afterextensive deliberation and planning by the electoral authority.
In its statement, the ECP disclosed that it had diligently assessed theprocess of delimiting constituencies, which is a crucial aspect of theelection preparation. As a result, the initial list for the delimitation ofconstituencies is scheduled for release on September 27. Subsequently, thefinal delimitation list will be made public on November 30. Thesemilestones are integral to ensuring a fair and transparent electoralprocess.
