During an interview on the private TV channel ‘Samaa News’ comedy show,Afridi answered many questions about himself. The host asked a questionduring the show, “In one room, on TV, you’ll see a politician repeatedly, acricketer’s ad multiple times, and a player’s ad only once, and as soon asthe player’s ad comes on, you’ll leave the room.
Which option would you choose?” Host Vasay Chaudhry gave options to ShahidAfridi, including former cricketer Javed Miandad, Imran Khan, and thecurrent national captain Babar Azam.
In response to this question, Shahid Afridi said, “I’ll only watch Javedbhai’s ad once, I’ll watch Imran Khan’s ad twice because he was my rolemodel in cricket, and if Imran Khan weren’t there, Shahid Afridi wouldn’texist today.”
