Petrol shortages in multiple cities across Pakistan

The Oil Tankers Association has taken the decision to cease thedistribution of both petrol and diesel across various cities.

This action has been initiated by the owners of these oil tankers, who havecollectively decided to halt the supply of these fuels in different urbancenters. This move has raised significant concerns regarding the potentialfor a shortage of petrol, stemming from its limited availability.

According to the Tankers Association’s statement, the suspension of petrolsupply extends to multiple locations, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, AzadKashmir, Hazara, Attock, and Gilgit. In light of these circumstances, oiltanker proprietors are asserting their demands.

They are calling for a substantial allocation, specifically 65%, of theWhite Oil Pipeline transportation for their use. Additionally, they arerequesting an increase in rental rates and the restoration of oldervehicles to their fleet.
